Alicia is an extraordinary woman, growing up in the Philippines as a self described nerd, becoming an engineer before moving to Singapore and subsequently to Australia with her partner, and recreating herself with a new career in her new home in Australia. I wanted to try and capture some of Alicia's infectious love of life and new experiences.

The portrait was created fully from life in her favourite clobber and over many sessions in natural light. This allowed me to hear wonderful stories of some of Alicia's memorable experiences during our sittings.
