This work refers to the well-known song “Just Like a Woman” by Bob Dylan. When a song is translated into an image, many questions arise. Is this the image of a woman Bob Dylan had in mind, or is it the version imagined by the painter? Or is it something in between?
The song itself is complex and remains partly enigmatic. The same is true of this painting: the female figure does not fully reveal herself. She can be sensed, suggested, but never clearly seen.
