Once upon a time, I received a commission to create a necklace using a particular polished agate cabochon. I was told what colors to use. Once it was almost finished, the client changed her mind about the colors and gave me free rein to create a gift for a bride who loved Barnagat Light beach. So I did. She loved it, but I had a nearly complete necklace without a focal pendant. So I finished it with with a handmade polymer clay focal bead and some Swarovski bicone crystals.
