A stalk or three of dark purple, almost black seeming irises came up in my garden, surprising me because I'd forgotten they were there. Very frilly, very large, very strong, though a stronger rain storm knocked one stalk over (but not before I took a photo!). I can't wait to see them again next your - and maybe they will have multiplied!
