This painting evokes the sense of quiet at night in downtown Baton Rouge on 3rd Street after everything has closed. The lights wrapped around the trees that line the street and their reflection in the wet pavement drew me to paint this scene. I like that you can see the refections from the different lights in the windows of the building on the left. Can't you just feel the peace and quite - the still of the night! Currently in the Elizabethan Gallery on Jefferson Hwy in Baton Rouge.
