This is a print signed and hand-embellished by the artist with gold acrylic ink, so there may be slight variations from the image shown. In this piece I depicted the Child Jesus crowning Mary, His mother, with roses, signifying the queenship to which He raised her and an invitation to share in both His glory and His Suffering.
The garden symbolizes the pure love and security of their relationship, alluding to Our Lady’s title of Garden Enclosed. On a secondary level, the roses and red-brick wall refer to my home city of Tyler, TX.
