Biography
Moonyeen Klopfenstein worked as a childbirth educator for 44 years. A graduate of Wilmington University, Klopfenstein is a highly respected member of her field. Her compassion and commitment to educating pregnant women and their families in all aspects of the perinatal experience is evidenced by the number of programs and support groups she has initiated or expanded. “Loving Arms Support Group,” one of Klopfenstein’s’ projects, is one of the longest continuously running programs in the country for parents grieving the loss of a child. She has also led a number of professional nursing organizations, task forces and committees related to maternal and child health and end-of-life issues.
