ARTIST STATEMENT
Making images of my family based on childhood memories is healing for me and at the same time honors them, the culture and time period of the Ozarks. Layers of time are expressed in "Aunt Audrey In A Wing-backed Chair": A photo of her from the 1930s, vintage wallpaper from the 1950s, part of an etching of her from the 1970s collaged on paper with conte crayon and pastel, collaged onto canvas in 2025.
