"Athleta," which is Latin for athletes and is defined as men and women trained to perform in games for which there is a prize, is "a real celebration of life and of athletes merging together." John Raimondi is a sculptor from Palm Beach, Florida. He created the "Dance of the Cranes" at Eppley Airfield in 1988 And "Erma's Desire" in 1976 at the I-80 Grand Island rest stop.
