"Answering the Call (U.S. Marine Corps)" depicts a radial desert scene in tan and blue colors. The main elements other than the sky and blowing sand include foot soldiers, a tank, two hummers with rooftop guns, and six helicopters. Intriguingly, a plane in the center of the painting is shooting bullets in a shape that could be representative of an eagle. There is a small emblem in the lower left hand corner.
This 30 x 48 inch oil painting on a wooden panel located at the Eastern Nebraska Veterans' Home to the right of room C1144B.
