Japanese watercolor on 300lb Arches paper. Painted in the studio in Pawtucket, RI as a remembrance of the trees found in Orquevaux, France. Michael spent September of 2021 as an artist in residence in Orquevaux, much of the time working in the landscape. This work continues the ideas first pursued in France with abstraction through memory and invention added.
