Oil on panel, nearly square, one of a series of 4. This painting has many layers that have been sanded down and repainted, resulting in a surface that is smooth and luminous. Inspired by recent watercolors of the landscape done over the summer. Through an abstraction and simplification, movements of green, blue and red suggest and ethereal landscape of memory.
