Painted in the early Summer of 2020. These abstract, vertical canvases were conceived and painted as a diptych but are available individually. The paintings began after an afternoon of painting en plein air in the landscape of Nantucket Island. Overlooking the sea from the vantage point of a cliff where meadows and fields of wildflowers dominated the foreground while sea birds flew over the sea in the distance. Struck by the beauty of both small intimate moments, Michael created this pairing of work that represents both a large-scale botanical as well as a abstract landscape.
