Michael spends a lot of time in Western North Carolina in a place where his distant family once called home. The Cherokee tribe was also rooted in this area, a landscape, beautiful, mountainous and dramatic. While the painting was made without preconception, the work reflects the Blue Ridge mountains and forests of this place. This vertical abstraction is nearly 6 feet in height and dramatically commands the space of any room.
