Inspired by a recent DeKooning exhibition, this painting gets back to my roots in gestural abstraction. The landscape underpins the work with suggestions of sky and green, new growth. There is both turbulence and peacefulness together in this vertical, oil on canvas that takes it's name from Blues music.
