Message
This print's inking features a solid dark blue color made of Prussian blue, ultramarine, and cadmium orange across the entire image. This print was shown at Richmond Art Center's Spring Juried Exhibition in 2020, juried by Kevin B. Chen.

This series precedes Pack Ice II and represents another aspect of the experience of being locked in pack ice in June 2019 while on The Arctic Circle Residency. "Pack Ice I" depicts an isolated section of open pack ice, and its copperplate remains intact as an elegiac image unlike the methodical destruction at the heart of "Pack Ice II."
This etching is framed in a black frame with the etching floated on a white matte.
