Studio painting. Most of my work is made in plein air, or on location. This scene would be hard to capture on location, with a moving fishing boat. These boats are wooden and have sails as well as outboard motors. It was quiet and serene with the moon slowly rising. This was my last night on a recent 5 week trip to France.
