Shawnee. Full face mask used in performances by Arizona's dance and theater companies. It is painted with a green droplet in the center of the forehead, curving swirled purple eyebrows with thick pink lines above them, and two yellow droplets in the center. The eyes have pink outlines with orange lines from the center onto the temples. The nose is a dark purple, and the cheeks have swirling pink lines from the tear ducts with blue and orange dots in the center. The teeth are outlines and purple and pink, and the chin has a sick pink swirling design with a blue line below a yellow dot in the center.
It is made of plaster bandage and paper clay, painted with acrylic paints and ribbon, which ties the mask to the performer.
These masks are part of the Performance Collection, which contains pieces available for loan to use in community and artistic performances.
