Misael. Full face mask used in performances by Ballet Folklorico Quetzalli-AZ of Chandler, AZ. It is painted with a dark purple nose, and its eyes are outlined in green with dark pink lines coming from the tear ducts. The forehead and chin have matching dark purple and orange swirl patterns, and the cheeks have thick blue swirl patterns with pink lines on the outside.
It is made of plaster bandage and paper clay, painted with acrylic paints and ribbon, which ties the mask to the performer.
These masks are part of the Performance Collection, which contains pieces available for loan to use in community and artistic performances.
