Carved Mahogany
5 creases carved into forehead. Almond shaped eyes, with circular pupils carved and punched out. Dark wood grain mark on the bridge of nose. Two tilde-shaped lines carved into each side of cheeks. Mouth slightly opened, with top and bottom rows of teeth showing; 4 teeth on each row. Two nasolabial folds on each side of the mouth.
Carved by artist in the Traditional Japanese Noh mask style. Noh mask's are typically carved with cypress then painted over, but mahagony was chosen to create a distinct style for the artist.
