While on a Plein Air painting retreat, I created this watercolor. Normally, I paint in oil but the day was threatening to rain with large moist clouds rolling in. It is much quicker to pack up and get out of the rain with watercolor than oil. The essence of this painting was to try and capture the stormy feeling but with the hope of a beautiful day on its way.
