Ireland has a plethora of stone walls throughout the country. As the fields were prepared for farming, the stones were removed and created stone wall for boundaries. Each stone wall is unique and many have blackberries cascading over the sides. In the fall, these walls are alive with the colors of green, blue, black, purple and various shades of red. This particular wall does not have blackberries through it but the contrast between the stone wall and white cottage with it's brilliant blue trim creates an appealing picture.
