When I picked my lemons this winter, I placed the stoneware bowl at my feet. The sun was shining and giving the most beautiful early morning light. I picked and stacked the firm yellow fruit, and there below me was the most perfect still life. I grabbed my camera and snapped away, knowing I could later capture this sweet moment on canvas.
