Within the work cycle titled “The Impact Phenomenon”, the artist began to experiment with the perforation of steel plates using a massive hammer and a steel spike. By applying immense physical force, Mark successfully penetrated the steel, creating wound-like holes referred to as "impacts." This transformative process turned large steel plates into striking sculptures, each bearing the marks of the artist's intervention. Subsequently, this destructive act evolved into his first live performance, aptly named “Impact Zone”, where the act of creation and destruction became a dynamic exploration of physicality and artistic expression. Through this work, Mark engages viewers in a dialogue about the relationship between the destructive and creative forces, materiality, and the transformative power of art.
