This was a commissioned piece for two people that share an office for therapy sessions. The colors match the space and give a sense of calming. Really enjoyed making this one.

I am an artist and former art teacher living in Takoma Park, Maryland. My current work is an exploration of color and how the colors combine on the surface. I get my inspiration both from the natural world and my subconscious brain while dreaming. I enjoy exploring texture, form, shape, and pattern using a variety of fibers once the paint has dried. Incorporating embroidery stitches and basic sewing techniques is a way for me to reflect and be intentional with my decisions in the artmaking process.
