The “Siteless” painting invites one to consider a world where buildings are constructed in the sky, where there is no site, no context, and no pre-created location by which to relate. This is a glimpse into an alternate world that shows: Architecture has the power to create a sacred place, even where “place” never existed. Why is this important? We as a humanity can give meaning and see beauty in that which has been forgotten, taken for granted, or previously overlooked. We create that which shapes us in return.
