This big cumulus cloud built outside my studio window, ultimately opening up to release virga, rain that never made it to the ground but giving the illusion that the cloud was topping fragile stems bursting into full bloom. A tiny pastel painting, part of my sky scraps series which captures the clouds outside my window and preserves them as miniature wall art.
