Cloud covered desert nights may be dark, but sunrise brings a magical moment to Big Bend National Park. Fragile fingers of light deposit more color than heat. Outcroppings, peaks and spines all stretch toward the sky to capture those first moments of sunglow just after chill of early morning has finally soaked in. No matter how black the hour before: this day begins with golden promise.
