What is it about a good story that beacons, heals and revitalizes something deep within our souls? Stories that make time stop and the outer world fall away. I long for, and almost desperately seek, epics of this caliber. Tales that speak directly to me and intertwine me intimately to the world and others. It is this longing that has inspired me to use storytelling in my artwork. The imagery I depict may be conveyed through various approaches, such as archetypal figures, surreal scenes, or everyday moments. Even my mediums shift as I seek a way to convey what the story means to me. Abstracted figures and the surreal invite viewers to create their own narrative fueled by past experiences. Thus, my artwork is a collaboration with the viewer. It is up to them to fabricate their own account of each piece.
