I am a contemporary realist. I was trained classically but enjoy the freedom of obvious brushstroke and an energetic line. I paint the figure, landscapes, still life, and genre in watercolor and oil. I also sculpt the figure in clay and cast it in bronze. I have exhibited widely and sold work nationally. I am also a writer. I have completed a memoir, several short stories, and volumes of poetry. I bring my writing to life with my artwork. I am a registered art therapist and have worked in San Francisco Bay Area psychiatric facilities. I also practice privately. I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from UC Berkeley and two master's degrees, one in fine art and one in art therapy.
