We are an aunt (Melody Lomboy-Lowe) and niece (Gracelyn Bateman) team that runs Luna Peak Foundation. Our specialty is elevating multicultural survivor stories to boost representation in the space. We break down the taboo and scary topics of cancer and grief. We show people that they are not alone and give them a platform to share.We are on a mission to humanize these common yet taboo topics of cancer and grief, and to help people know they are not alone through these experiences. These images are from our published photography book, Beyond Grief: Snapshots of Life After Loss. Beyond Grief explores what life after loss looks like. This is a book filled with 80 conversations about grief, survivor to survivor. Through portraits, mementos, stories and advice, we explore how a diverse array of grievers navigates and rebuilds after a life-changing loss. Each portrait tells a story of resilience.
