I am an illustrator, muralist and painter from Portland, Oregon. These paintings are part of a few larger series inspired by our landscapes and exploring memory, disaster, solitude, and the stories we invent for images when we aren't given all the answers. I love to paint detailed, moody scenes meant to elicit a sense of melancholic meditation. There's an ambivalence I hope to capture, whether it's in an imperfect childhood memory, a fantastical historical scenario, or an exploration of how we learn to exist in landscapes that endure constant crises.
