Grace Kwak is a contemporary abstract painter who lives and works in Dublin, California. Growing up in South Korea gave her a taste of color combinations and the expression of peaceful Korean culture. She is a storyteller and a fiction book lover. She loves to work with different acrylic mediums to create textures. This time, she created stories and paintings. The first one is about a snail. This snail story is based on the Korean song 'Snail.' She thinks we are as little as a snail. However, we are a snail moving slowly toward our dream. Sometimes, dreams will never become a truth. We cannot see it or touch it. Still, we will go forever. Another story is a made-up story about a butterfly. One butterfly breaks the norm and tries to be a 'true' butterfly. It is very strange when we look at the butterflies in the boxes. However, when others do it, we no longer see it as odd. When we don't know what happened to that flying butterfly, do we want to try and see what we can be?
