My work reflects how drawn I am to portraying interactions, especially the relationship between and the symbolism that can be used to tell a story. Each piece focuses on creating subjects that elevate and create a dialogue with each other and with my viewers. Complemented by bright, contrasting colors, I reflect on recurring themes in my work: nostalgia, the passing of time, the intimacy of connection, and a sense of longing. Biography: Hailee Perrett is a multimedia artist and scientist based in Southern California. Hailee’s work spans the illustrative, graphic design, and fine art space, often crossing between scientific and conceptual work. Her efforts in communicating science visually have been recognized with an Excellence in Journalism award by the San Diego Press while her fine art explorations have been exhibited and commissioned by several journals.
