Craig (Howard) Hotchkiss, 79, of Yakima passed away peacefully on December 22, 2019.
Craig was born in Yakima on March 27 1940 to Howard L and Doris Hotchkiss. He graduated from West Valley High School and continued on to receive a degree in architecture from Washington State University.
Craig was a seeker of beauty in all it forms, including architecture, the arts and nature. After a long career as an architect in Western Washington and California he returned to his hometown of Yakima. One of his greatest passions was painting and exploring other artistic mediums; and he was active in the local arts community. He also loved spending time hiking and camping.
Craig is survived by his wife Sidney, his daughter Denise Hotchkiss, his son and daughter in law Anthony and Maggie Hotchkiss, his son and daughter in law John and Louise Hotchkiss and his son Tim Hotchkiss along with grandchildren Christian, Sam, Matt, Jordan, Sarah, Johnna, AnnElise, Sydney, Edison and Hackett.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, January 18th at 2 PM at Wesley United Methodist Church in Yakima.
