A lovely Mid-Century Modern framed decorative painting from Eastern Art Products, Chicago, showing three women in flowing gowns amid a large flowering shrub.

On corrugated fiberboard backing. In a glossy black wooden frame with red basket weave inner border, under glass. The frame sides have a hand painted red dragon on it.

Two typed labels on the back describe "The Legend" of the Hibiscus Maidens and the artist/title/size/number/frame. The date created is not known, but most likely in the 1950's.

"Painted by Georgina, this watercolor is extremely fascinating both in design and color harmony. Like the orchid, the hibiscus is the emblem of love, beauty, and refinement, and the symbol of perfect. The legend goes that the hibiscus is the symbol of fertility, of grace, and of good fortune."
