Encaustic Wave Painting of West Coast, Inspired by La Jolla. Encaustic is a time honored technique dating back to original artist’s works prior to the availability of oil painting. Beeswax is tinted with pigment to create colors, then applied to wood canvas, heated with fire and then polished to build a beautiful shine.
