We often get excited when the air becomes crisp and cool and leaves begin falling from the trees. The colorful leaves of autumn are so beautiful in spite of the fact they are a sign of their coming disappearance. Some think the leaves are most beautiful in autumn. The bright reds and yellows stir the imagination.

In this painting, I love how the water flows back into the blue foothills which reminds me of a scene in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The leaves seem to reflect on the water and branches and twigs create interest along the way. Just the way rivers do.
