​Blue Ridge, GA is a destination town in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It's always a great joy to drive north from the Atlanta area as the mountainous views become more exciting as we travel along. This summer I rediscovered Blue Ridge and was stunned by the lushness of the green grass and trees in the area. It was almost as lush as a rainforest. Very surprising so nearby!

The thrill of being surrounded by so much beautiful green made my heart sing. It was a loose, free and happy-go-lucky sort of day as I hiked through the woodland path to the Toccoa River. I love how this painting and the next three emerged as a pure expression of the experience.
