The day I was so captivated by this dirt I had not heard this quote before. It makes total sense based on the thoughts and feelings I experienced at the sight of this particular spot of riverbank dirt.⁣

I feel something when I look at it and remember the presence I felt at the river that first day my river journey began. Naturally, I had to make a painting inspired by it.⁣
