Joseph Lofton returned to his beloved Art Students League where he studied from 1948 to 1952 on the GI bill. Throughout the years, he continually asserted that the League was "the best art school in the world," so you can imagine how exhilarated and emotional he was to return at 92 years of age, after more than 60 years. The ASL staff treated him with such reverence, taking him on tours of the studios and having him speak to the current generation. This was one of his best days.
