The aim of the artist Joël Equagoo is to create abstract paintings that are contemplative, evocative and inspired by nature. The organic quality of his textured marks lend an ephemeral feeling, his paintings imply daily presence of nature in our life. Joël Equagoo uses oil, acrylic color, natural material and mixed media in all his works. Color and space are both organic, intuitive and decisions of transformation . The artist explores spontaneous, gestural marks and subtle forms through abstraction. Layers are integral to his imagery and process.
