Before I made a firm decision to move to Maine, I drove up from Florida and stayed in an AirBnB in Portland for the months of January and February of 2022, just to make sure the winter wouldn't kill me. My friends in Florida were convinced it would. Most did not know that I grew up in Colorado and that I occasionally went back there in the winter to visit. I painted this painting during my 2 months in Portland.
