WHAT INSPIRES THESE PIECES, AND HOW DO THEY CONNECT TO YOUR INNER STORY AS AN ARTIST?
Figurative art has always been the heart of my creative journey — the place where everything began. From my earliest paintings, I was drawn to the human form, to its silent language of emotion and story. There is something timeless about capturing a gesture, a glance, a moment that speaks directly to the soul of the viewer.
From the very beginning, I felt it was essential to master the figure in its classical sense — to understand every line, every curve, every quiet balance of light and shadow. That devotion guided my studies at the Ottawa School of Art, with Florence Italy, and through many workshops that shaped my artistic foundation.
As the years passed, my figures began to change. The realism softened; the emotions deepened. I no longer sought only the accuracy of form, but the essence within it — the tenderness of a touch, the texture of a feeling, the poetry that lives between stillness and movement.
Today, my figurative art reflects simplicity and truth. Each piece is less about perfection and more about presence — an invitation to pause, feel, and see the humanity we all share.
