NURSE DRAGON (painting and sculpture)

This whimsical sculpture from the BLUEBELL COLLECTION, was inspired by a collector who wanted a sculpture and a painting that was representative of her work as
a nurse. We discussed together what memorabilia she would like included in her works of art.
Bell the dragon’s nurses cap, the scrubs, the stethoscope, the clip board, the IV pole, and even Blue (the dog) holding a flower and a get-well card are all testimonial of her dedication and love for her profession. In commemoration of the collector’s friend that passed away from suicide I added a Cardinal on the IV pole and on the painting’s background, I painted the logo of suicide awareness. Although the BLUEBELL COLLECTION is known for its whimsical quality, this sculpture also brings forth a sentimental and profound meaning. It is displayed at the Promenade Gallery at 2101N. Epcot Resorts Blvd, Lake Buena Vista, Fl,32830 plus at Luis Sottil Galeria de Arte at 400 Beach Dr Ne, Suite 150, St. Petersburg, Fl. 33701. The editions are 20 artists proof plus 195 open editions for a total of 215 pcs.
