Innocence

INNOCENCE brings so many incredible memories. In 2006 I was blessed to be able to participate in the FLORENCE ACADEMY OF ART summer’s program. It is there that I was inspired to sculpt this 1/2 life size sculpture of a classical woman. I spent countless hours perfecting every detail of the woman’s form. Her body is sculpted with incredible detail, every curve and contour of her nude form captured with precision and skill. Her face is serene and peaceful, her eyes semi close as if lost in thought or meditation. Her hair flows gracefully on her back and shoulder in a simple yet elegant style, adding to the sense of classical beauty and grace. The finished nude sculpt was molded in Italy then shipped to Canada, where the final touches were added to the sculpture. A beautiful gown was sculpted on her body. The gown has delicate folds and soft ruffles that seem to move with the slightest breeze. The bronze material gives the gown a sense of weight and texture, adding to the realism of the sculpture.
The finished product is a stunning work of art, capturing the timeless beauty and elegance of classical sculpture. It is displayed at the Promenade Gallery at 2101N. The editions are 20 artists proof plus 195 open editions for a total of 215 pcs.
