I am Happy when I dance

I AM HAPPY WHEN I DANCE sculpture.

I met this collector at the EPCOT FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS 2021. His story really touched my heart. It had always been a dream of both him and his wife to commission a bronze sculpture of their daughter, who is a professional ballet dancer. Like most of us, they thought they add all the time in the world to fulfill their dreams. Unfortunately, his wife passed away before they could execute this project. When I met Paul, a few months after his wife passing, I could feel a special bond between us. Once I heard his story, I was determined to create a beautiful sculpture for him. I was so touched, when after a few days after meeting him, he decided to go ahead and order the sculpture. What an honor it was for me! I was inspired by a photo Paul sent me, of his daughter dancing while surrounded by smoke. I found the image powerful and dramatic, and this type of performance which creates a sense of mystery drama and beauty was the perfect starting point for the sculpture. The result was a success. The use of a smoke shape created a dreamlike atmosphere, making the ballerina appear as if she is floating. The collector loved it, and the sculpture has been receiving great reviews from patrons of the gallery. It is displayed at the Promenade Gallery at 2101N. Epcot Resorts Blvd, Lake Buena Vista, Fl,32830 plus at Luis Sottil Galeria de Arte at 400 Beach Dr Ne, Suite 150, St. Petersburg, Fl. 33701. The editions are 20 artists proof plus 195 open editions for a total of 215 pcs.
