Wayne Conyers is a Wichita-born artist raised in Marion, Kansas. He received his MFA in painting from FHSU and went on to act as the Professor Emeritus at McPherson College's Visual Arts Department for 44 years. Conyers's work has been involved in over 180 shows around the world, and he takes pride in acting as a juror for countless exhibitions. Conyers self-describes his passion for watercolor as "I love the challenge of taking an initial concept, and then blending together bold color, pattern, spatial structure, a sense of whimsy, humor, surreal imagery, and technical skill with the never-ending search for personal meaning."
