Exploring the contrast between what the surface of an individual’s life looks like to the outside world and what is really going on, Revelation 1.3 continues the Connections series of paintings. Paring down the symbolism to the barest of bones; red, black, circles, and lines. Revelation 1.3 speaks of beauty in the midst of harshness. It vibrates with life and yet I feel a calm as I sit and contemplate this painting. It gives my mind room to breath.
