This painting is a favorite. A cacophony of life experienced on horseback as the summer fades into fall. As the weather softens plants that have been dormant in the summer heat sometimes act like it is spring again. New leaves appearing as the old begin to turn. It is a riotous time and this painting captures the energy of transition.
